CA Department of public Health penalizes Kern Medical for short staffing
The CA Department of Public Health issues administrative penalties to hospitals under the Health and Safety Code (HSC) section 1280.3 for situations of immediate jeopardy (where a hospital’s noncompliance with licensing requirements has caused, or is likely to cause, serious injury or death to patients). Kern Medical has been penalized close to $300,000 by the CDPH since 2017.
